Site Build ItI used SiteBuildIt! to build this site. I'm a graphic designer and my day job is in affiliate marketing, so I probably could have done it myself using the tools I already own. I still decided to use SiteBuildIt!. I'll tell you why I'm glad I did. Why Did I Use SBI! First let me tell you why I wanted to build a website in the first place. Like everyone I'd like to be able to work at home. I also could use some extra money. Who couldn't right? Anyway I learned a lot of folks are making good money while they sleep doing affiliate marketing. I saw many affiliates making over $1,000 per month from the program I was managing. I said... why not me? But the first thing I needed was a website. So I started looking to find the best way to do that. I already had site-building software but I realized it takes more than that. Now for the rest of the story... Well I first noticed SBI when researching my affiliates. I began to realize that many of my most successful affiliates had built SBI sites. They seemed to have more traffic and therefore more sales than many of my well established When I looked into SBI! closer I realized that it was not just about building web sites. SBI! was a complete system for how to build a successful online business. It was about having all the tools I was going to need in one place. Finding all the tools is not rocket surgery. After all, many of the research, domain hosting, site building and search engine optimization tools are readily available—if you know where to look...and if you have the time to look for them. I didn't! With SBI they not only provide every tool imaginable (many I wasn't even aware of) but also give you a guided, step-by-step process to follow. SBI! made it very easy and also very efficient. That's what I liked most.
I was already beginning to see that the whole C-T-P-M process was the key. That stands for Content-Traffic-Presell-Monitization. In order to build a successful online business, those are the steps you need to take. No one had put it in those exact terms before. In fact most affiliates I had found were very tight-lipped about how they became successful. Even the ones in my affiliate program. The other forums I had been to were practically viscious when it came to sharing secrets. Not the people on the Site Build It forum. It's like we're all in this together. It's a community of people who want to do much the same thing as me and also were willing to share what they had learned and what tools they had found.
Online Marketing Master CourseAlthough I had been an Affiliate Manager for about 6 months, I knew I still had a lot to learn. I could see that learning what it takes to make a successful ecommerce website was not going to be easy. But how could I be a good AM if I didn't understand how to build a successful website. That's why I decided to build my own site and use Site Build It! I realized that SBI is like a Master Course in online marketing. The key is to use your passion...One of the "secrets" of the SBI approach is to build a site around something you love. That makes it easy to put in the effort required to make your site and to keep building it. If you pick something you are passionate about it also makes the whole process fun. As you can see I chose golf. It's been a love of mine for over 30 years so building content and pages around golf is easy and just increases my passion and enjoyment of the game. Hopefully that passion is passed along to my site's visitors who will keep coming back to share my passion. That's how Content leads to Traffic in the C-T-P-M equation.
